The College advocates for rural, regional and remote paramedicine

The College had a busy day last week advocating for the paramedic profession.

On Friday 10 September, Ryan Lovett, Chair of the College, and Alecka Miles, Chair of the Rural, Remote and Community Paramedicine Special Interest Group, presented at a NSW Senate Inquiry. During the hearing, the College advocated for the introduction of community paramedics to help deliver better health care services and coverage for regional, rural and remote communities.

On the same day, the College was invited to attend an Advisory Network meeting by the Deputy Commissioner that was focused on the rural health workforce. College CEO John Bruning advocated for the role paramedics could play in primary health supporting the delivery of rural healthcare.
